Milton Place is the first development to be delivered under the Gravesham Community Investment Partnership. Currently at concept stage, it is set to bring much needed sheltered housing for older people to Gravesend town centre, alongside a small number of homes for private sale in a sustainable, park side setting.
As part of Gravesend’s regeneration, development at Milton Place will meet the needs of an older population in a town centre location and, in turn, release much needed family homes within the borough.
Masterplan Benefits
A brownfield site, it comprises a former BT depot site, a small amount of the existing car park and some of the land occupied by the former church and outdoor lido. An attractive area of greenspace and the existing skatepark are proposed to be retained in the proposals.
The site sits within the Milton Place conservation area and the development seeks to respect and reflect local heritage, preserve and enhance the surrounding area and deliver a vibrant, community-centred improvement to this neglected part of the town centre, working alongside specialists.
